Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing at Ramsey Gatehouse Sixth Form

Your wellbeing is our priority

We’re not just dedicated to academic excellence, your wellbeing takes centre stage. Your time here is more than academic achievements; it’s about personal growth, happiness, and a supportive community.

We have several support networks available in the Sixth Forms that you could take advantage of:

  • Bursary assistance: If your household income is under £24k, our Bursary program can help with expenses such as purchasing books, transport and school lunches. Contact Mrs. Norman for details or visit our Bursaries page for more information.
  • Welfare: The Sixth Form Welfare is overseen by Mrs Gregory who runs weekly drop in clinics in the Sixth Form. Outside of these times she is available in person in the Welfare Office, via Teams or via the Welfare text number.
  • Career support: Mrs. Pollard is always on hand when you’re unsure about your career paths and will help you to explore your options and make informed decisions about your future.
  • UCAS support: Applying to university? We’ll guide you through the entire UCAS application and will give dedicated support for crafting your personal statement.
  • Medical and Oxbridge aspirations: Students who would like to apply for Medicine or to an Oxbridge University will receive extra one-to-one support from our outstanding subject leaders to help navigate the tricky application process.
  • Clearing support: Sometimes, things don’t go as planned, but we will be on hand to help put them right again. On results day, our team will assist you with the Clearing process, ensuring you find your right path forward.
