Welcome to Abbey College Year 8 Options

You are about to complete one of the most important processes of their schooling so far, the selection of your Option Subjects.  

The aim of this virtual evening is to provide you and your family with the opportunity to explore each of the subjects that we offer and to learn more about what it is like to study a course in Key Stage 4. 

The process of you choosing your preferred subjects for Key Stage 4 has been underway since the start of the New Year. You will have already had some taster lessons from Option Subjects, as well as support from your Form Tutor and of course Mrs Sharpley, in your Year 8 assemblies.  You have also been sent your Option Booklet to help you learn more about what each of the subjects is about.  

There was a live webinar on 25th February in which Mrs. Warne provided an overview of the Options process. The questions raised during this are available in the panel on the right of this page.   The recordning of the webinar canbe found here.

The virtual Options Open Evening will be live here from 3.30pm on 25th February, including a presesntation with the opportunity to ask questions at 6.30pm. Documents and forms will be available on the right hand side of the page.

4th March is the deadline for the submission of  the Option Forms, which will be available from 25th February.
