Work Experience Week is a key part of our careers programme and this year our Year 10 students will be heading out into the world of work from 20th-24th April 2026. Students will get the opportunity to develop an understanding of how business and industry operate, build self-confidence and develop skills that will help to prepare them for the responsibilities and opportunities of adult life. In order for students to also gain valuable job-hunting experience we encourage them to take responsibility for planning and finding their own placements.
This year the deadline for finding a Work Experience Placement and completing the online forms is 13th February 2026
Work experience placement forms are to be completed on Unifrog, each student has their own Unifrog account. Once students have successfully secured a placement and gathered all the relavnt information, they can then enter the information on to +add placement, please see powerpoints below for 'How to '. The Launch PowerPoint presenation is also very useful for parent/carers, in helping understand some of the processes and knowing the information the students have been given. This Year the launch assembly was given on Monday 6th October 2025.
In previous years we have found that our dates can coincide with other schools Work Experience Weeks, so we would encourage all students to be looking to secure a placement as soon as possible.
